After reading and watching Hurricane Katrina wipe out New Orleans I felt compelled to help like many of us. My best friend David Ross came up with an idea to help rescue and support animals that got displaced due to Katrina. So we loaded David’s 35 foot truck up with pet supplies and other stuff that was donated by other LA pet lovers. We spent about 2.5 days driving these pet relief supplies to a drop-off center just outside New Orleans. It was a long drive and totally worth the expense and time spent. We made some friends along the way as well.
We also got to spend some time in the New Orleans area volunteering our support and truck to others that also came to assist in the relief efforts.
